ASTM A106 Grade B Pipes
ASTM A106 Seamless Pressure Pipe (also known as ASME SA106 pipe) covers seamless carbon steel nominal wall pipe for high-temperature accommodation.
ASTM A106 Grade B pipes are equivalent to ASTM A53 Grade B and API 5L B on chemical composition and mechanical properties, in general use carbon steel and yield strength minimum 240 MPa, tensile strength 415 Mpa.
ASTM A106 Grade B pipes are utilized in chemicals, EPC Construction, power plants, boilers, petrochemical plants, oil and gas refineries, and ships where the piping must convey fluids and gases that exhibit high pressures and temperatures.
The requirements for sturdy, heat resistant, and corrosion-resistant pipes, like those engendered from ASTM, designated A106 Grade B carbon steel is in high demand from our clients involved in these industries. The A106 Grade B Pipes offers better resistance to corrosion since the steel pipe has been coated with a thicker layer of zinc, which in turn acts as a protective layer on the pipes.
