Indian Steel Pipes

Regulators of the U.S have been urged to apply anti-dumping duties on welded stainless Indian Steel pipes, by major U.S companies who deal with manufacturing, supplying, and exporting of steel pipes.

From 2012 to 2014, the imports hiked from 12,101 tons to 281 tons, concerning these companies as in the past three years the import of the Welded Stainless Indian Steel Pipes at price lower than U.S markets ascended.
The petition has been made to the Department of Commerce and the U.S.
International Trade Commission (ITC) to take action, by Synalloy’s unit Bristol Metals LLC, along with Felker Brothers Corp, Outokumpu Stainless Pipe Inc, and Marcegaglia,
The obligation was sought in July 2015 by a group of U.S steel pipe producers on the imports of welded carbon steel pipes from Turkey, Mexico, South Korea.
With a 45 days review period of the petition, the implementation of the recommendation by ITC is due by 2016.
